Participation in Pilot Study Launched by National Testing Agency National Aptitude Test – Ability Profiler

Dear students,

National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. The agency is committed to the cause of providing a platform to the students to assess their aptitude and ability in a more scientific and transparent manner. The agency is engaged in conducting exploratory research to map abilities of Indian learners across various age groups between 19 and 25 years.  

 NTA has developed a comprehensive tool with nine domains which consist of Generic Skills, Specific Abilities and Multiple-Choice Items for students of different Age Clusters ,  Level 3 (19 – 21 Year) and  Level 4 (22 – 25 Year).
The test is to help know the capabilities (special abilities) of an individual and not to level or find their weaknesses.  The test will be conducted in the third week of October.

The pilot project is a measure to validate the tool and to test the reliability and item level difficulty.  

Test Details:
1. The test is in Internet based mode, so the candidates can appear in the test from their place of stay (pos) using desktops, mobile phones, laptops etc.
2. The total duration of the test is 120 minutes.
3. This test consists of 9 Domains.
4. The medium of the Question paper would be English only.
5. Each domain consists of 10 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
6. Each domain has 10 questions carrying 1 mark each. It will be an Online Test of 2 hours duration. The total is 90 marks.
7. Candidates are not allowed to use calculators or any other electronic device.
8. Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. There is no negative Marking
