Objective of the Workshop/Seminar/Activity

To welcome the members of the new Executive Council.

To invite suggestions to strengthen network with alumnae through social media.

To apprise the members about the roles and responsibilities of the Council

To propose the concept of supporting business networking of alumnae and the platform provided by the University.

Overall Report of the activity

A meeting of the members of new Executive Council by ICG-IISU Alumnae Association-BANDHAN was virtually conducted on 27th November 2021. Total of 28 participants including students and teachers attended it. The meeting was organized with a view to welcome the new members of the Executive Council. The Meeting began with a formal welcome of the new members of the Executive Council. It was then followed by a formal introduction of all members. Suggestions were invited from everyone to strengthen network with alumnae through social media. The members expressed their consensus on:

  • Creating a webpage to encourage the involvement of alumnae by organizing various activities.
  • Invite people for informal discussions and interactions on public platform.
  • Few members also volunteered for creating the webpage and promotion of the association on social media.

It was also advised to check the content of each information shared on social media, to avoid the posting of any objectionable content.

The members also discussed the nature of meetings organized by the Alumnae Association in order to make them more interesting, interactive and participative in nature. They also suggested how these meetings were also a part of their contribution towards active functioning of the institution.

In order to propose the concept of supporting business networking of alumnae and the platform provided by the University. The members made following suggestions:

  • Setting up a stall every fortnight by alumnae
  • Expand their business networking through the Incubation Centre on campus.
  • Setting up a Baazaar on every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

The meeting ended with a Vote of Thanks and a request to all alumnae to stay connected with their alma mater with a positive spirit.
