INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON BIOTECHNOLOGY AND NANOTECHNOLOGY (ICBN 2016)

The deadline for registration and submission of Abstract has been extended up to January 15, 2016.

As globalization leads to an increasing interaction between regions and people, it is important to encourage academic growth in emerging scientific fields such as Biotechnology and Nanotechnology. With potential applications in the areas of biomedical research including drug development, nano-medicines, cancer biology and other pharmaceutics' applications, this conference would provide a forum for researchers, policy makers, programme managers, service providers and NGOs in the relevant fields, to come together and exchange ideas and information.

The topics of deliberations include, but are not limited to Animal Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Plant Biotechnology,

Environmental Biotechnology and New Age Drugs.

The conference will provide a premier inter-multi-trans-disciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations and trends in the categorized fields. The participation of eminent scientists from premier universities, institutions and hospitals etc. will be of immense benefit to delegates for pursuing research interest, collaborations and awareness, based on scientific facts.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT AND THE UNIVERSITY

The Department of Biotechnology, The IIS University, Jaipur has well established laboratories with sophisticated instruments. It is currently running under-graduate, post-graduate and research programs. Various laboratories of the department are dedicated to advanced research in the field of Microbial Diversity, Plant Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, Computational Biology, Animal Cell Culture. A well established animal cell culture facility has added another feather to the achievements of the department.

With in the short span of time, the department has organized several national and international seminars, conferences and workshops. The department has received financial assistance from CSIR, Government of India & DST, Government of Rajasthan.

The IIS University is a cosmopolitan, vibrant deemed to be a university and is among the thirty eight universities in India placed in category 'A' (Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India) under the section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. It is known for excellence in imparting meaningful education to the students and to encourage them to think innovatively.

INDIAN SCIENCE CONGRESS ASSOCIATION, JAIPUR CHAPTER, JAIPUR

ISCA, one of the biggest scientific body in India, started with the pioneering efforts of Prof. J.L Simonsen and P.S MacMohan with a view to enhance the scientific researches in the country. Its first meeting was held in Calcutta in the year 1914. There are 29 local ISCA chapters. One of them is Jaipur chapter, which is a very active body dealing with research endeavors particularly practiced in the state.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT

Abstract may be submitted through e-mail to icbn@iisuniv.ac.in and the selected participant will be intimated by January 15, 2016. Abstract must be typed in single space using MS word in Times New Roman (font 12), title (font 14), followed by authors name (font 12) and affiliation with word limitation of 250. The name of the presenting author should be underlined. It should briefly include the purpose of study, methods, results and conclusions. The abstracts of only registered candidates will be considered for oral/poster presentation.

ORAL PRESENTATION

For oral presentation, time of ten minutes will be given to each speaker. Presentation to be prepared in MS Power Point

and to be brought on a CD or USB memory stick. Standard Audio Visual equipment will be provided for presentation.

POSTER PRESENTATION

Poster dimensions are 4 feet height and 3 feet width. It should include title; followed by authors name and affiliation. The name of the presenting author should be underlined. It must briefly include introduction, the purpose of study/objectives, methods, results and conclusions.
