The Home Management Guild, in collaboration with the Department of Home Science, organized an insightful demonstration session on 'Home Gardening: Tips, Tricks, and Techniques' on March 28, 2025. The session was conducted by Dr. Aditi Khandelwal, a renowned floriculture expert, academician and an entrepreneur with the aim of educating participants on sustainable gardening practices and techniques for growing plants effectively at home. She explained that gardening is an art and plants need love and affection like kids. Both too much harshness and too much care can spoil them. She also discussed that outdoor plants and indoor plants have entirely different needs and cannot be treated the same and can therefore not be used together in customized pots. She educated participants on sustainable gardening practices for growing plants effectively at home including guidance on seasonal planting strategies, indoor and outdoor plants and their care and urban gardening techniques.

Key Highlights of the Demonstration

Dr. Aditi Khandelwal shared her expertise on various aspects of home gardening, including:

  1. Choosing the Right Plants: She provided guidance on selecting plants suitable for different climates, spaces, and purposes, including indoor and outdoor plants.
