Admission Procedure

Step 1

Online Application
Mode of payment through Credit/ Debit cards.

After filling the online admission form, the amount of $100 to be paid by you shall be displayed. You will then be directed to the ICICI payment gateway server wherein the transactions are done securely by the ICICI payment gateway.
Once the payment is authorized, you will be automatically redirected back to The IIS University server where a Form ID and Transaction ID will be given to you which should be used for future communication.

You can check your form status on the University Website after 2-3 working days.


Step 2

Application by post
Fill in the Application Form. If the final mark sheet/ transcripts are available, then attach a copy of the same. If the marks/ grades are not known or are not available, please indicate ‘Result Awaited’ in the marks/ grades column. Students are expected to send in their final results to the University as soon as it is available so as to ascertain their eligibility. It is also to be noted that the application will be considered only if the mark sheets/ transcripts are made available to the University within the stipulated time.

The following documents are required to be attached with the application form:

a) Certified copy of the mark sheet/grade sheet/transcripts of the last qualifying examination
b) Copy of passport of the applicant (personal detail pages)
c) Copy of the passport of the sponsor, if sponsored by NRI parents/ relative
d) Proof of NRI status of the student/ parents/ sponsor (for NRI student only)
e) Latest passport-size colour photograph in addition to one affixed on the application form
f) Migration Certificate

Step 4

Acknowledgement: Upon receiving the application form, the student will be sent a letter of acknowledgement bearing an application number. Students will also be intimated if additional information is required. Acknowledgement will be sent by e-mail only to the student/parents.

Provisional Admission: Upon satisfying all the eligibility requirements, the provisional admission/offer letter, along with the fee-memo, will be emailed to the student.

Step 6

Fee Payment: The tuition, hostel/ accommodation and registration fees along with other fees must be paid in US $. The details regarding the mode of payment will be updated soon.

Step 7

Confirmed Admission: Upon receiving the requisite fee and necessary documents, a letter confirming the student’s admission will be emailed. The confirmation letter may be used by the foreign students to apply for their student visa from the Indian Embassy/Consulate.

Step 8

Final Information Package: The University will send a separate communication detailing the procedure for pre-enrollment, commencement of classes and other information necessary for completing the admission formalities. This letter will also indicate the date of the student’s final registration at The IIS University.

Step 9

Final Registration: Students are advised to report to the Students’ Counselling Centre, The IIS University, for final registration, on the communicated date, in order to complete the admission formalities.
The following documents (in original) are required to be submitted at the time of final registration:

  1. Degree or Pass Certificate of the last qualifying examination
  2. Grade/ mark sheet of the last qualifying examination
  3. Translated versions of all documents, if they are not in English
  4. Transfer Certificate
  5. Conduct Certificate
  6. Nationality Certificate (Only Xerox)
  7. Date of Birth Certificate
  8. Accreditation Certificate of the School  
  9. Passport with a valid Student Visa
  10. Insurance Certificate
  11. Equivalence and eligibility certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, wherever applicable
  12. Migration Certificate
  13. Three recent passport-size photographes.

Note: The original certificates will be returned to the students immediately after making an endorsement to this effect.

The grant of admission to the international students will be confirmed only after verification of the original documents, receipt of the required fees and approval by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

Step 10

Security Registration:  It is mandatory for the international students to get their names registered with the police in the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) of the local police within a week of arrival in India.
