Objective of the workshop/seminar/activity: To provide a forum for entrepreneurship to the students from different departments and to build up an entrepreneurial ecosystem on campus.

Description:

CHRYSALIS E-cell of the IIS University aims at manifesting the latent entrepreneurial spirit of the students. To instill Entrepreneurial skills amongst the students, the university organized  the 3rd Bazaar on IIS Campus on 16-17 January 2015. The plans proposed by the budding entrepreneurs were evaluated on various parameters and awards were given under the following categories:

• Most innovative business concept
• Most sustainable business venture
• Star Udhyami
• Campus company
• Best Decorated Stall
• Best theme

The B plans were evaluated by a panel of Judges namely, Dr. Kavya Saini, Associate Professor, IIIM, Jaipur and Ms. Deepti Sharma, Associate Professor, IIIM, Jaipur. The participants were required to give a detailed presentation on their Business Models involving the operational, financial and marketing implications of their B plans.

Outcome of the activity/event/seminar/workshop: The feedback and inputs given by judges were taken in a right spirit to improvise upon the business plans. Students got an opportunity to execute their Business Plan on campus as Campus Company, thereby giving them  practical experience of challenges which a starup may face in the commercial market. Students also learned an important concept of fund raising and its importance in execution of business. Participants also learned the varied aspects of group behavior and leadership skills.
