New Course Introduce: B.Sc.(Hons.) Forensic Science

Programme Objectives (POs):

The program provide opportunity for learners to achieve the following objective:

  • To make students familiar with the field of forensic science which include investigating a crime by applying forensic science principles.
  • To enhance knowledge, in depth understanding and application of forensic science and criminal investigation by teaching and research.
  • To develop critical and analytical subject specific skills involving the principles, practices and techniques of specific field.
  • To develop competence in research methods and presentation of information.
  • To develop skills in forensic identification, forensic problem solving either independently or as a team member.
  • To keep abreast with all recent developments and emerging trends in Forensic science, Ethics and the law.

 

Eligibility:

10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate marks in any two of the following subjects:

Physics, Chemistry, Biology, mathematics and Statistics from a recognized Board of School Education or equivalent with a provision of 5% relaxation in the aggregate to  the candidates belonging to  SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/ PWD/ Widow/ Divorcee categories

 

Duration of the programme:

3 years programme with 6 semesters
