Notice : Exibition of Poster on America - Picturing America

NOTICE

The Departments of Fine Arts, History, Political Science and Public Administration are organizing a Poster Show and Activity called “Picturing America” on 17 & 18 September 2013. This activity is a part of American Embassy’s effort to strengthen American studies in India and gain a deeper appreciation of American life and history.

This exhibition showcases pieces that shaped the cultural, political and historical threads that were woven in to the nations fabric over time. The images are categorized in two themes of Leadership, Freedom and Equality, Democracy, Courage and Ingenuity.

The students from the four departments shall be volunteering to present a snap shot of America in their own distinct work along with the exhibition of images of masterpieces of American art.

This exhibition shall be inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Gupta, Vice Chancellor, The IIS University, at 11.00 am and shall continue both days till 3.15 pm. It is open for all students and faculty of the university
