The Alumnae Association of IIS (Deemed to be University) organized the ICG-IISU ALUMNAE MEET CUM GET-TOGETHER – “BANDHAN”- a programme in the back lawns of the University on 17th of December 2022. The event was organized to reconnect with the alumnae and celebrate their success and various achievements. The alumnae started arriving by 2:30 p.m. and the event started at 3:30 pm with a warm welcome to all the gusts by Dr. Radhika Sharma. It was then followed by the University Prayer. A musical performance was given by the teachers from the Department of Music. The alumnae were then given a brief introduction about all the activities and facilities offered by the University to its alumnae. They were told about the University’s e-Library; a YouTube channel where they can share their experience and memories of their alma mater, and a Biannual Newsletter ‘REWIND’ where personal and professional achievements of the alumnae are shared. The meeting was graced with the presence and welcome address by the Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr. Ashok Gupta. He welcomed all the alumnae and shared the glorious journey of ICG, graciously transformed into IISU. The students of the first batch of the University, formerly ICG, were called upon the stage and facilitated with a memento by the Hon’ble Chancellor. In continuation of the ceremony, REWIND- the Biannual Newsletter was released by the dignitaries and alumnae. The event was followed by various dances including cultural and western, performed by the students and alumnae. To remind the alumnae of their college days and make them relive their memories of the good old days, a skit was enacted by the students of the IISU Theatrical Society. Teachers welcomed the alumnae in their own way through a musical performance for them. The alumnae added a feather to the cap of the event by their performances- a Rajasthani folk dance, songs and an ICG anthem, composed by an alumna. Many alumnae shared their experiences and memories of college days and expressed their gratitude for the faculties. The students took batch wise photographs and interacted amongst themselves. The Alumnae Meet ended by the felicitation of the alumnae by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. T.N. Mathur and a Vote of Thanks by the Nodal Officer of the Alumnae Association Dr. Shelja Juneja.
