Objective of the Session:

The primary objective of the session was to create awareness among faculties about the Raj COP Citizen App, an initiative by Rajasthan Police aimed at ensuring safety and providing quick support in emergencies, especially for women. The demonstration aimed to empower faculties with the knowledge and practical usage of the app for enhancing their personal security.

Summary/Description:

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) organized a demonstration session on the Raj COP Citizen App on 27th May 2025 in the Meeting Room from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. The session was conducted by Dr. Ankita Jain, Professor, Department of Management Studies, IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur.

Dr. Ankita Jain began the session by introducing the app and highlighting its significance in preventing and addressing gender-based violence. She explained the core features of the app, including emergency SOS alerts, real-time location tracking, police contact integration, and citizen reporting.

Faculties were guided through the step-by-step process of downloading, installing, and registering on the app. Live demonstrations were conducted to help faculties understand how to use the emergency response options effectively.

The interactive session included a Q&A round where faculties  actively raised queries about the app’s usage and practical scenarios.

Outcome:

The faculties gained hands-on knowledge of the Raj COP Citizen App and its functionalities. The session enhanced awareness regarding digital safety tools and the importance of being prepared in case of emergencies. Faculties expressed appreciation for the initiative and felt more confident about their personal safety and how technology can support gender-based violence prevention.
