INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES REGARDING CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT SEPTEMBER- OCTOBER 2022, FOR REGULAR STUDENTS

This is for the information of all students that the structure and conduct of CA test is being revised only for the current odd semester. However, there shall be no change in the other CA components. Instructions related to CA test and other components are as follows: CA Test (15 marks)

 There shall be no structured schedule (Time Table) for the CA tests. The teachers will schedule the CA test any time after completion of either one unit or after completion of two units. The pattern and strategy to be adopted for CA test will be communicated to the students by the teacher in the class at least five days before the test.

 All students are required to be present on the day(s) of the test compulsorily; failing which they would be marked absent in the CA test attendance sheet. Please ensure that the attendance sheet is signed compulsorily. Any grievance received from the student will be entertained only after verification from the attendance sheet.

 There will be no provision of centralized remedial test however; a re-exam may be scheduled by the respective teacher for those who remain absent due to genuine reason. Class Activity (5 marks)

 The class activity will be scheduled and conducted by the subject teacher in the class as has been done earlier. Students are required to be present on the days the class activity is scheduled. Attendance ( 5 marks)

 The marks for attendance will be given as follows: Attendance Marks to be awarded out of 5 Less than 50% 0 50% or above but below 75% 3 75% or above but below 90% 4 90% or above 5 Assignment (UG)/ Quiz (PG) 5 marks

 One/two assignment (for UG students) and Quiz (for PG students) will be given by the respective subject teacher. The last date for submitting the assignment and date on which quiz is scheduled will be announced by the individual teacher in the class. FOR DUE STUDENTS There shall be no CA test for due papers in the current semester. However students would be required to submit assignments which will be announced by the subject teacher.
