Gender Sensitization via Film screening of Ek Nayaa Mayena, a film made by Radhika Sharma MJMC student. The 10 minute film is an extremely convenient medium to break the ice that has accumulated in the minds of girls through construction. Students of PG Science – Physics and UG BBA saw the film with interest and gave feedback. Some of them did not find anything new in the film but appreciated the characterization and theme of the film.
Nutrition, water and exercise as essential for the health of menstrual cycle. Reproduction as initial goddess of ancient civilization, Menstruation as individual women’s health criteria taught in syllabus of Foundation Women’s Studies and appearance as divisionary for women were issues addressed in the session of Gender sensitization. Ms. Chanda Asani took the session to encourage students to be decisive and overcome created inhibitions.
