In collaboration with Readers’ Club, Dept. of English, the Guild organized an Author Interaction on the craft of poetry and short story-writing, on 6 Oct. ’17. The invited author, Mr. Keki N. Daruwalla, shared his experience of writing poetry and fiction and read from some of his awarded works. He interacted with the students, guiding them on issues such as selection of title, role of the imagination, his preference for feminist characters and the contemporary scene in fiction.
The session was well-attended by students from the Department of English including the research scholars who interacted with the noted author, especially with regard to his choice of subjects, writing style and treatment, in both his poetry and short fiction. The session was very ably moderated by the academic co-ordinator of the Department, Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee.
