General Facilities
The room is located beside the University back lawns. It is the favorite place for students to get together and de-stress themselves.
The University has also made a crèche called “SaraswatiAangan” as part of its employee welfare practices for the children of the staff members and married students/ research scholars.
The facility of 7 sophisticated DG sets provides round the clock power back up to the entire Campus.
There are three elevators on the Main Campus two elevators on Kshipra Path campus and one each on Mahaveer Marg and Sitapura campuses to connect all the building floors and provide barrier-free access to one and all.
Availability ofliftsin all campuses and ramps at different locations for easy access to the University buildings, availability of wheelchairs for smooth commuting, and construction of special toilets are some of the facilities provided for the ease of physically challenged students.
Installed as per Municipal laws in different buildings and various blocks, class-room, labs, hostels, offices, etc., and maintained under AMC.
The University Guest House located in the Mahaveer Marg Campus has several rooms with modern amenities to accommodate outstation guests, experts, delegates, examiners, resource persons, and other distinguished guests.
There are three centrally air-conditioned hostels-'Aanchal' (Gurukul Marg campus), 'Vasundhara' (Mahaveer Marg campus), and the third IIS Kshipra Path, providing healthy and hygienic vegetarian food and a disciplined, yet homely environment in the hostels. Admission to the hostels is merit-cum- need-based and subject to the availability of seats.
The University maintains an ”INFIRMARY” with a qualified and trained full time Nurse on duty throughout the day to provide and facilitate medical assistance to all the students and staff members. The Infirmary at the University is equipped with the necessary first-aid facilities such as three beds, an observation table, stretcher, two wheel chairs, weighing machines, Sphygmomanometer and other requisite medical aids. A Homeopathic Physician visits the campus on a daily basis.
An ambulance is always available on the camp for emergency needs. Besides these the University has an additional facility of MoU with Tagore Hospital and informal Tie-ups with two nearby hospitals at Mansarovar, for treatment of students and staff members of IIS Group.
The University also organizes various free campus time to time for its students and staff members to promote a lifestyle that would result in the prevention of diseases and promotion of greater longevity.
There are adequate provisions to seat the faculty members comfortably in staff rooms with facilities, like internet-ready computers, water-camper, tea-coffee dispensers, individual lockers, air conditioners, food warmers, mobile charging stations, cabinets, staff boards, etc.
The University ensures the supply of purified drinking water via a RO water plant.
This is a one-stop solution on the Campus for all requirements of students about stationery, along with other facilities, like low-cost photocopying, laser printing, and spiral binding.
Keeping in view the concept of sustainable development, the university aims at adopting methods of energy conservation. The design of the buildings allows natural ventilation and light which helps conserve the demand for energy.Solar powered heating system is installed at the University hostel for supply of hot water in the bathrooms. The street lights too are powered by solar energy
The quantity of degradable waste generated in the campus is not very substantial for establishment of a biogas plant so it is sent for composting
Rain water harvesting system in the campus has two borewells of 100 feet and 130 feet with pipes of 6 inches for recharging the ground water table.
Two types of borewells are present in the campus. Two borewells for ground water recharge and one borewell for water supply.
Degradable waste from the kitchens of the hostel and Canteen like vegetable peels and non oily food residue is converted into manure using vermicompost techniques. Litter waste from the lawns is collected and composted using compost pit. Manure obtained is utilized as fertilizer.
Large quantity of waste water is generated from the RO system, which is collected in underground tank for watering the green cover of the campus.
There is a fleet of well-maintained 50 buses to facilitate students’ conveyance from different locations of the city besides 2 Tata Magic, one loading tempo, and three cars available to cater to the additional transportation needs of the University.
