Objective of the workshop:

The Department of Fashion & Textiles organized a guest lecture for B.Sc. Fashion Design and M. A/M.Sc./M. Com Fashion Design. Ms.Vishakha was the resource person and presented a lecture on Art of Fashion Styling. The lecture aimed to delve into the intricacies of fashion styling, exploring its importance in the fashion industry, key techniques, and emerging trends. The speaker began by defining fashion styling as the art of curating garments, accessories, and makeup to create visually appealing looks that convey a particular message. The lecture highlighted the pivotal role of fashion stylists in various sectors of the industry, including editorial shoots, runway shows, celebrity styling, and advertising campaigns. She explained the several elements of styling, including color theory, silhouette, texture, and accessorizing. The speaker emphasized the importance of understanding body types and proportions to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of an outfit.
