Guidelines for STUDENTS continuous assessments, ODD semester, 2024

UNDERGRADUATE/ POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

For Regular students

  • This is for the information of all the students that the CA components of UG and PG for the current odd semester 2024 shall be as follows:

                                 CA Test

Maximum Marks: 15

 

 

 

  • There shall be no structured schedule (Time Table) for the CA Tests (theory & practical). Date of the CA test will be communicated to the students by the teacher at least a week before the test. The information regarding the same will be put up on the Departmental notice boards WhatsApp groups, teams and on the University website. The teachers will schedule the CA Tests after completion of two units. The CA tests will be conducted in the scheduled class during working hours only.
  • The pattern of the CA test is given below:
  • The CA Test will be conducted out of first 2 Units of the course.
  •  Candidates will be required to attempt any 3 questions out of 4 questions (2 from each Unit) in 150-200 words each.
  • Each question will carry 5 marks.

 

HOME ASSIGNMENT /QUIZ/ CLASS ROOM ACTIVITY

                                                                                                                                       

Maximum Marks: 10

 

This component of continuous assessment will include any one of the above mentioned components. The details regarding the same are given below.

 

 

HOME ASSIGNMENT (If Applicable)

 

   
  • Assignments will be given to the students as per the demand of the curriculum.

 

 

QUIZ (If Applicable)

  

  • The quiz will be given from the units other than the ones covered in the CA test.
  • 10 multiple choice questions will be given. Each question will carry 1 (ONE) mark. All questions will be compulsory.

 

 

CLASS ACTIVITY(If Applicable)

 

The information regarding class activity will be intimated by the concerned teacher.

 

ATTENDANCE

                                                                                                  Maximum Marks: 5

  •  The marks for attendance will be awarded as per the criteria given below:

90% or above                                      5 marks

75% or above but below 90%             4 marks

50% or above but below 75%             3 marks

Below 50%                                          0 marks

 

 

FOR DUE STUDENTS

 

Please note, there shall be ONE CA test of 15 marks for due papers. The marks out of 15 will be doubled to convert them out of 30. The list of due students will be put up on the notice boards of the Department. All those students who have due paper(s) are advised to contact the concerned subject teacher regarding the pattern, syllabus and date of the due CA test. In case of any doubt the students may contact the Head of the Department. The students who have taken lateral entry shall be treated as due students.
