Online National Faculty Development Programme (Self paced)

IIS (deemed to be University) in association with Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay organized an Online National Faculty Development Programme (Self paced) on Drupal, R Programming and Python from 12 August to 1 September, 2022.The programmes were conducted Under National Mission on Education through ICT funded by the Ministry of Human Resources Development Government of India. All FDP’s are  self paced FDP participants were given instructions by each faculty coordinator about suggested time schedule to ensure timely completion of the programme. The participants watched these videos and completed the assignments given.

Number of Participants: 

• Drupal: 26
• R Programming: 35
• Python : 29

First Programme of 7 days on Drupal was launched from 12 Aug to 18 Aug 2022. 26 participants took part in the FDP across Nation and it also had one international participation. Participants were introduced to basic and advanced concepts of DRUPAL which is content management system used to create websites and applications.

Second Programme of 7 days on R Programming was launched from 19 Aug to 25 Aug 2022. 35 participants took part in the FDP again with an international participation. Participants were introduced to basic and advanced concepts of R programming.

Third programme of 7 days on Python was launched from 26 Aug to 1 Sep 2022. 29 participants took part in it again with an international participation. FDP focused on developing skills on working with Python.

All the participants were evaluated on the basis of Assignments given and quiz generated by faculty coordinators on the last day of training FDP ended with Quiz related to tutorials read by participants. All the participants were elaborated about how a spoken tutorial platform can be used to learn. Overall through the FDP  faculty members  got an opportunity to learn new technologies altogether from such a good platform.
