To discuss legal protection of research outputs and other Intellectual properties with faculty members

Description:

To promote awareness about patents, IPMC of the university organized a seminar series for Faculty of Science department wise by Mr. Pankaj Kumar, IP Attorney, on ‘How your research or other expression of ideas can be legally protected?’ The session focused on Introduction to IPR, Patentable subject matter, prior art search & search databases, Patent specification, Procedure for Patenting, Government initiatives including funding agencies and IP awards. The faculty members were also acquainted with the initiatives and working of IPMC. The queries of the faculty members regarding protection of their research work were also answered. The faculty members of Faculty of Science attended the sessions according to the scheduled dates.

Outcome of the activity/event/seminar/workshop:

The faculty participants learnt about IPR, Patentable subject matter, Prior-art search & search databases, Patent specification, Procedure for Patenting, Government initiatives including funding agencies and IP awards.
