A webinar on Education about Menstrual Health and Hygiene was organized by Rotrary Club Jaipur Gurukul and Centre for Swachh Bharat- Swastha Bharat on 1 September, 2020. The webinar was organized with the aim of enhancing the knowledge of young women regarding menstrual hygiene and management so that they are able to move from anxiety to confidence. The speaker for the session was Ms. Nitya Choudhary, CSR Executive, Unicharm India, Jaipur. She elaborated on the female reproductive system and explained the process of menarche, menstruation and menopause. She threw light on maintenance of hygiene during menstruation and stressed that the sanitary napkins should be changed every 4-5 hours in order to prevent infections. She also dealt with the myths and facts associated with menstruation. She encouraged the participants to talk freely about this topic and discuss their problems.  The participants raised several queries regarding the religious taboos and use of certain types of products related to menstruation. This was a very informative session which improved the knowledge of participants about the process of menstruation and the precautions to be taken during this phase.
